O'Reilly Automotive Stores, Inc Senior Quality Assurance Analyst in SPRINGFIELD, Missouri

A Senior Quality Assurance Analyst works independently using years of experience to ensure software system meets all applicable O'Reilly standards and release specific requirements. Senior Quality Assurance Analysts focus their efforts on creating extensive test plans and cases for the department's most complex projects.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform various types of testing including Unit, Integration and Regression, DB validation, system testing as needed

  • Works independently with IS development teams and operations to ensure projects are delivered as defect free and as designed.

  • Takes an active role recommending direction that shapes standards and processes for QA Team

  • Typically leads the work of other QA team members

  • Provide assessment of product quality at key milestones to project stakeholders

  • Evaluates priority of defects based on overall application functionality

  • Exercises judgment within defined IS/QA procedures and practices

  • Excellent technical knowledge of O'Reilly's tech stack and project development life cycle

Skills and Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Solid understanding of software applications and testing best practices

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must work well in a team environment

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members they lead

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Precise attention to detail

  • Solid understandingof SQL and Linux

  • Solid understanding of iSeries commands and file structures


  • Bachelor's degree in a technology related field

  • 5+ years of quality assurance testing experience

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
